Dr. Bavaro completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital in New York City. He went on to complete fellowship training in joint reconstruction at New York University's Hospital for Joint Diseases, where he developed the advanced surgical expertise that now defines his practice.

Areas of Focus

Dr. Bavaro's practice is dedicated exclusively to the hip and knee. His surgical expertise spans robotic and computer-navigated joint replacement, anterior approach hip replacement, partial knee replacement, and revision hip and knee reconstruction, along with fracture repair and arthroscopic surgery. He is also recognized as an early adopter of outpatient joint replacement, a same-day approach that allows many patients to recover at home rather than in the hospital.
Before turning to surgical solutions, Dr. Bavaro explores biologic options whenever appropriate, including stem cell therapy, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), and cartilage and ligament repair, reserving joint replacement for cases where these approaches are no longer sufficient. Every treatment plan is built around the individual patient rather than a one-size-fits-all protocol.
