Before becoming a podiatrist, she taught high school biology. She completed her undergraduate and master's degrees at Queens College, then graduated from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 2013. She went on to complete a three-year residency with additional certification in reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, in 2016.
