Dr. Meehan trained to be a teacher before becoming a podiatrist, and taught high school biology for four years in New York City. After a master’s degree in science education, she began a nutrition degree, having interests in health and fitness. While attending classes, she met pre-medical students planning to enter podiatry. She changed her plans from nutrition to podiatry after realizing that podiatrist are involved in many aspects of overall health, fitness, and diet. After graduating from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 2013, she completed a three year residency with additional reconstructive rearfoot and ankle certification at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, in 2016. Dr. Meehan now treats all aspects of the foot and ankle, with particular interest in diabetic foot care and wound prevention.
