A native of New York, Dr. Mark Bursztyn completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at Cornell University and graduated with all honors. He received his medical degree and completed his residency at State University of New York Down State Medical Center.

After his Orthopaedic Surgery residency, Dr. Bursztyn completed his orthopaedic sports medicine fellowship at the world renowned Nirschl Orthopaedic Center at Georgetown University. As part of his training, Dr. Bursztyn had the opportunity to work with George Mason University’s NCAA Final Four Basketball team, as well as the NFL’s Washington Redskins. He specializes in treating knee injuries, shoulder injuries, and elbow injuries. In addition to remaining dedicated to patient care, Dr. Bursztyn has also dedicated himself to conducting clinical research. He has co-authored several papers that have been published in reputable peer-reviewed scientific journals, and has delivered podium presentations at large national meetings.
